I am going to do this 31 Days series this year! (gulp) Never done it before. Walking into it with more than slight trepidation–not because of the subject, but because I’m afraid of failing.
How’s that for a bright, positive beginning?
Seriously, though, I am very excited about attempting this series BECAUSE of the subject. During this month, you will hear from and about military spouses from different service branches, not just the Army. There will be interviews, military spouse blogger highlights, Scripture posts, guest posts from military spouses, posts about historical figures, posts about issues military spouses face…
(I understand there are many gentlemen who are “the spouse” of a service member, but unfortunately, I don’t personally know many right now, so the focus this month will mainly be on wives as military spouses.)
Whew! It’s gonna be a lot, but this is the year I’m feeling up to the challenge! Won’t you join me? I’d love to have you along for the whole series. If you haven’t subscribed through email or RSS, now is the time! I’ll be posting the links here on this post as each one goes live.

Are you doing a 31 Days series? Let us know in the comments so we can join you.
Congrats on starting the 31 Day Challenge! I am also an Air Force’s spouse for many years (retired in 05) and was also active duty then turned reservist. I just hung my hat up this year. Our oldest is now a Marine stationed in Japan with his family. I’m also interested in how you are doing with your teens. I have a tween girl and a teen boy and that I what I’m blogging about. Looking forward to your posts! Blessings!
Thank you! I’m so glad you stopped by! It’s been a very interesting year for my girls, with all the transitions. We had a rough time for a while, but things are smoothing out a bit now. Thank you for your (and your husband’s) service. You probably have a lot you could teach me about being a military wife! 🙂
So glad you’ve taken the challenge, mainly because I’m thrilled to follow along. I am not a military spouse, but I have many friends that are and I realize the challenges are unique. What a great resource this will be!
I certainly hope it will be beneficial! Also, I have a friend who is also doing a 31 Days series and hers is all about encouraging a friend who is a military spouse. You might want to check hers out as well–it looks really good! It’s 31 Ways to Encourage a Military Wife Friend.
Looking forward to following along. AF spouse and doing this challenge too 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Melitsa! What are you writing about for the challenge?

Thanks. I will try to read them all. This year the ladies missionary society at our church has added chaplains’ wives to the list of mssionaries we pray for. It will be good to know how to pray. I lead a small circle, so someone from our group will be contacting the ones who have been assigned to us. Their husbands are all Grace Brethren chaplains. Gracia McDairmant
That is so great that your group is doing that! Chaplains and their wives definitely need prayer support.
Love this idea–I look forward to reading what the Lord places on your heart in regard to the military community! I have yet to post, but I am going to start (we’ll see about finishing) the series again this year.
Thank you! What did you decide to write about this year?
I’m focusing on encouragement this time around–last time it was faith-based letters to young women.
Woohoo, Lisa!! I hope we both make it this month 😉 I have confidence!
Me too! 🙂
I’ve enjoyed your series thus far! Hoping mine reaches a few people…
I am excited to follow along!! I am an AF wife & a soon-to-be Chaplain’s wife! My husband will take his oath as an officer as soon as the shut down’s over. This is my 1st time participating in the challenge as well, but I am loving it so far!
Congratulations to your husband–and you! 🙂 What are you writing about for the challenge?
