Here’s my random for the moment:
*I’m supposed to be working on two different articles which are due very, very soon. I’ve come to a standstill on them, so I thought I’d write here. Doesn’t make a whole bunch of sense, but there it is.
*It was 104 degrees today in our part of Texas. I’m rather sad to think that the fall season I enjoy so much, followed by the winter season I absolutely love is just not going to be quite the same in this here neck of the woods.
*We’ve been at Fort Hood for almost 4 months and I can honestly say that I love the military environment. I know those who have lived within the system for a long time have their complaints and concerns, but the sense of community, respect, and openness is beyond compare.
*I found the most perfect pair of running/walking shoes I have ever had in my life! They’re Adidas Energy Boost. Amazing cushion and comfort.
*The whole look of this blog will soon be changing–drastically. I’m excited, but I’m hoping it doesn’t shock people too much and I end up losing them.
*Speaking of blogging, I’ve been thinking about participating in the 31 Days series in October as a way to jump-start myself back into writing regularly. Any suggestions for what my topic should be?
*I now homeschool a 10th grader and a 7th grader. I believe I can now call myself a veteran.
*I have taken absolutely zero pictures on my camera in the last month. That’s sad. Although, I have used Instagram on my phone. Here’s a few recent ones:
A cake replica of the newly dedicated Family Life Chaplain Training Center at Fort Hood
Cat on a ledge
She got glasses and started learning the bass guitar–in the same month!
And now I really should get to writing those articles. Or maybe I’ll just go to bed and work on them tomorrow…
