Well, blogger world, here I am. I’m intending to make this blog (as opposed to my xanga one) more of a daily journal of my life. It won’t be deep, or particularly thought provoking, but it will be honest and open.
Today is Wednesday. Emily’s birthday was Sunday, and I still feel like I’m living in a fog because of being sick. Ron’s sick too, which makes it even harder for me to sleep. I don’t think I’ve ever taken so much ibuprofen at one time in my life. Just when I was starting to feel like I was getting over it…anyway, it’s been nice having Maddy here because the girls have been occupying themselves very well. School has actually gone well, even with her here. This is one of the reasons I love home schooling! Flexibility and freedom!
After school, I intended to walk with my walking DVD, but I felt so awful I ended up taking a nap. I had actually dozed off for a while when the sound of screeching pre-teen girls startled me awake. That was one of those good/not so good sounds. I love hearing them laugh and have so much fun with Maddy, but I could have used more sleep! When I got up, I went to start on dinner. I had planned on spaghetti, but when I realized I didn’t have enough noodles, I opted to make lasagna. Because I got started on it so late, we didn’t end up eating until a little after 7. Lasagna turned out good though! Even Emily ate quite a bit, which says a lot.
This evening has been spent talking with Ron about a book he’s been reading and listening to the girls laugh, play, read books to one another, and bounce off the walls! My two are going to be so sad when Maddy has to leave on Friday. But I won’t worry about that right now. Tomorrow will be a full day of school and tae kwon do, and then I think Ron is going to take all the girls to see Cinderella again at the Round Barn Theater. Our two really liked it and they wanted Maddy to see it. Normally they don’t let season ticket holders see the same show more than once, but they made an exception this time because I asked so nicely. : )
I’m going to close so I can watch NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles with Ron. Thanks to the lovely technology called the DVR, we’re watching them a day later than they’re on, and without commercials. Good night!
Ahhh, well I see that you are not completely new to Blogdom rather that this blog is completely new. Have great fun with it!
