Are you like me?
When disaster strikes a part of our world, I feel so bad for those affected by it but am at a loss as to what to do to help.
Most recently, as I’m sure you’re aware, a bigger-than-big typhoon hit the Philippines and the loss of life and property is overwhelmingly devastating. And I wonder, “What can I do? There’s so much need, so far away.” Maybe you wonder the same thing?
I now have an answer to that question–for both of us.
Compassion International, the organization which is known for child sponsorship around the world, is providing a practical way to help. Please visit their page dedicated to the typhoon victims and consider giving towards their efforts. On the page, you will find out exactly how your contribution will be used for families affected by the massive storm.
Then, when others ask, “What can I do?” you can help them answer that question as well.
This is a great post! I knew some of the ways that Compassion helped – such a great organization!!
It really is a great group of people! The more I learn about all that they do, the more impressed I am.

compassion is such a great ministry! i didn’t realize they were involved in the Philippines disaster so that’s good to know~ thanks for putting this out there!! so often when these things happen i’m always so moved in the beginning and want to do something, but i’m sad to say it doesn’t take long for that gap to close over and my life to move on and i forget far too easily! God’s been speaking to my heart so much about this lately.
