Homeschool momma, are you feeling the need to be refreshed, renewed, restored, or rebuilt? Have you been wishing that someone would pour time, energy, and encouragement into your life, like you pour into others? Are you in need of knowing and spending time with other homeschool moms who “get” your struggles and triumphs?
There is a place for you!
A Real Refreshment Retreat, put on by Apologia Educational Ministries, is that place. Here is a beautiful description of the motivating purpose of the Retreat:
“Inspiring. Uplifting. Encouraging. Real Refreshment Retreats are designed to recharge your spiritual batteries so that you can effectively minister to your husband and children with the joy and selflessness that God intends.
A Real Refreshment Retreat will affirm, energize, and inspire you as you join with other moms like you to celebrate the homeschool journey together. Whatever difficulties and opportunities you’re facing at home, you will find you’re not alone.” (from the website)
Right now there are two locations for this retreat–Baltimore and Atlanta–but as I understand it, the creators will be looking at expanding the number of locations in the future.
Speakers at the retreats include Rachael Carman, Debra Bell, Zan Tyler, Heidi St. John, and Rachel Martin.
I have had the privilege of hearing some of these inspiring women. Trust me when I tell you that your soul will bask in the warmth of their encouragement and practical wisdom. You will find yourself taking in deep breaths of grace and delight.
Consider it an investment in your spiritual, emotional, and mental health as a homeschool mom.
If you would like to view a sample of the schedule, you can see it HERE. If you are interested in attending one of these retreats, please visit the Register page!
