It’s not very often that we have days like today, so when they show up, I like to revel in them just a little!
I woke up in time to do the things I needed to before school started. My daughter actually fixed me a cup of my favorite coffee. We got every subject done today, and had fun whilst learning (don’t laugh, it happens way less than you might think.) When school was over the girls, instead of playing on the computer, went outside and played in the snow for a couple of hours. I planned ahead for dinner and actually got chicken out in time for it to thaw. When we ate said chicken, it was nice and tender and juicy (and that’s a rare accomplishment for me.) After dinner, according to our new “unplugged” family time, we played together–well, hubby and children wrestled and rolled around while I took pictures and laughed.
When it was time to calm things down we all four sat together and just talked about some favorite memories. After the girls got ready for bed, my dear husband ran to the store to get some milk for the morning. While he was gone I read the first chapter in a book out loud to the girls. (We’re re-reading the first two Hunter Brown books because the final book comes out tomorrow! We’re very excited about it. If you’ve never heard of the Codebearers Series, you can check it out here.) Now it is quiet and I have time to tell you about my pretty much perfect day. I have to enjoy it for all its worth because most likely tomorrow will be different!
Wooo hoooo! Praise the Lord!!
Glad you had such a great day! This is JsSteph7 from Xanga. 🙂
Glad you had a great day. Nothing beats a good day in with the family!
What a great day! The tough days make us so much more thankful for days such as these 🙂
