“Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ–that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.” Colossians 3:2 (The Message)
I don’t know about you, but I have been guilty of being entirely too self-absorbed at times. I tend to have moments where I do just what this verse is describing.
Seeing everyday life from Jesus’ perspective is not always easy. Looking at circumstances with an eternal perspective gets lost in the shuffle of normal.
This verse challenged me and I’m grateful for that today.
Have a great week!
Lovely meditation today Lisa. Thank you for the reminder to look outside of ourselves and serve the LORD. How wonderful HE is!! I like what Robert Murray McCheyne said ~ “One look at self, and ten looks at Christ!”
Many blessings to you this week!
