“We’re not keeping this to ourselves, we’re passing it along to the next generation–God’s fame and fortune, the marvelous things he has done. He planted a witness in Jacob, set his Word firmly in Israel, then commanded our parents to teach it to their children so the next generation would know, and all the generations to come–know the truth and tell the stories so their children can trust in God, never forget the works of God but keep his commands to the letter.” Psalm 78:4-7 (The Message)
I’m starting my planning for our school year this week, and I went searching for some extra motivation from the Lord! I came across this passage and thought it a great reminder of why we do what we do.
Are you in need of any motivation this week?
A great verse! I pray your family has a blessed and productive school year this year! I miss those years. . .enjoy them! 🙂
A great reminder for me this month. I’m prepping for this school year and working on my 3 in 30 goals for the month. I want my children to see God through me in my direct and my indirect teaching. I need to keep that as my focus.
