“For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.” Phil. 4:13 NLT

I understand that this verse may get thrown about too flippantly at times, but it is one that has been on my heart and mind the past several days. As I’ve struggled with some anxiety and worry and been fighting that battle in my mind, this is the verse that has run through my thoughts.

What is it that you need strength for this week?

I wonder if it’s the time of year? Really ready for warm weather to come consistently? I know I’m struggling with having a gratitude attitude. I always struggle this time of year, hoping I schooled the boys well enough, and planning for the fall. Gotta stop worrying about all the little stuff and remember to count my blessings!!! Have a great week!

I love that verse! Sometimes, I say it to myself slowly and think about what each word means.

I also love: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough worry of its own.” Matthew 6:34

Right now, I guess I need strength because this week is my soon to be 10 year old’s birthday and my birthday and we both have bad colds and we were hoping to do fun stuff. In the grand scheme of things this is nothing, no biggie. Just trying to make fun even when we are under the weather!

That was one of the first verses that I memorized, and I refer to it often! It is a great help for me 🙂

Bear in mind that Paul is talking about being content whatever the circumstances, in plenty or in want. He’s saying he CAN be content whatever happens because God will give him the strength for it. It’s a fact of life that you just CANNOT do everything, but you can even be content with that.
