“You made me; you created me.
Now give me the sense to follow your commands.
May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy,
for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, O LORD, that your decisions are fair;
you disciplined me because I needed it.
Now let your unfailing love comfort me,
just as you promised me, your servant.
Surround me with your tender mercies so I may live,
for your law is my delight.”
Psalm 119:73-77 (NLT)
May we be a cause for joy this week as we trust, obey, and hope in the Lord.
I love this verse – the knowledge He created me and knows me brings such comfort!
It does for me as well! And I love the part about how he comforts after he disciplines.
Have a great week my friend!
What a beautiful verse. It reminds us that our Heavenly Father is a caring parent, who like any other parent, must discipline His children, but is also infinitely merciful and loving. I needed this this morning. Thank you, friend! 🙂
I really needed it today too. I’m glad it was encouraging for you!
