“Every time your name comes up in my prayers, I say, ‘Oh, thank you God!’ I keep hearing of the love and faith you have for the Master Jesus, which brims over to other Christians. And I keep praying that this faith we hold in common keeps showing up in the good things we do, and that people recognize Christ in all of it. Friend, you have no idea how good your love makes me feel, doubly so when I see your hospitality to fellow believers.” Philemon 4-7 (The Message)
I know that this letter by Paul was written to one specific person for a specific reason, but the opening to this letter caught my attention when I read it through this time. I thought about it in the context of my friendships, both online and nearby.
From my heart to yours: This is how I feel about you! You have given me much to thank God for, you have encouraged me, challenged me, and helped me along the path. Thank you.
(Stay tuned, there’s more about this on Thursday!)
I like that verse! Happy Tuesday π
Thank you, Happy Tuesday to you too!
I love this! I love that translation of the verse, too!
And that picture… wow! Beautiful.
I’ve really enjoyed reading through The Message this year. My daughter took the picture several months ago and I liked it so much I use it for every Monday Meditation!
How wonderful God’s Word is Lisa! Thank you for sharing your thoughts too. How blessed we are to belong to our Precious Saviour!
Have a lovely week!
Blessings,
Camille
I’m praising Him for the truth of His Word!
Dilly beans taste much like a pickle. They are wonderful… of course you have to like pickles!

I love it! It works for Wednesday too π
That it does!
How ironic! I was on my way over to your blog and thinking that I would comment to you that I feel like we are becoming “online” friends π So happy to know you! Thanks for linking up today with us π
What a kind thing to say! I’m very happy to know you too, and I look forward to continuing and strengthening our friendship!

Makes me look forward to reading the Message! I just downloaded the NT for my Kindle.
I don’t use it for studying, but for just reading through (I’m doing the read-thru-the-Bible-in-a-year thing) it is a wonderful translation. I hope you enjoy it.
