It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve done a Thankful Thursday post, and I’m kind of sad about that. Taking the time to thank God for the little and large blessings in my life has been a really good thing for me. My Bible Study group is even going through the book Choosing Gratitude by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. It has been such a good study and challenge for me.
Anyway, here is what I am grateful for right now:
- A safe trip for my husband (to his training)
- Fun times staying up late with my girls before school starts (We’re not starting until after Labor Day)
- A direct challenge from the Lord to trust Him in a specific area
- An opportunity to practice hospitality
- Blogging friends and nearby friends who willingly pray when I ask them to lift something up for me
- A fun bridal shower for a special young lady that I got to attend this week
- A chance to be salt and light
- The sight and sound of a peacefully sleeping child
- Reliable appliances in my home
- Cars that are paid off
- The really good book (borrowed from my mom) that I just finished reading
- Seeing my daughter read her Bible before bed most every night (a recent development, and an exciting one!)
- Staying on track with my own Bible reading (I’m not doing the 90 day read-through, but I am doing the yearly one)
- The great time the girls and I had tonight doing more Elk Hunting! Here’s a few more that we found:
