Happy Spring! And Happy Thursday!
This week has flown by, it seems, and here we are at Thursday again. Time to be deliberate about naming those things I’m especially thankful for this week.
- Dark and quiet early mornings (well, quiet except for the sound of the cat bouncing off the walls)
- God’s continuing provision for our family
- Opportunities to surprise and bless friends
- Pretty skies
- Fancy toenails for bare feet season
- Editing and writing
- This: Β “Mom, can I do extra math? I really want to finish math early this year.”
- Girls who see photo opportunities and take them
- Family movie nights (new Muppet movie last night–so much fun!)
- Friends who are ahead of me on the homeschool path
- The book of Ecclesiastes–talk about a dose of reality and perspective!
- “Tweet” morning friends who wake me up with “How can I pray for you today?”
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today.
I love those tweet friends, too…and your robins are gorgeous!
My oldest took the pics of the robins.
Mornings are much sweeter with tweet friends, aren’t they? : )
A lot to be thankful for, indeed.
You’re first three mentioned – I could really relate to. All but for the cat. No cats here.
Blessings to you!
Thank you! I hope you have a good weekend!
So much to be thankful for…I love waking up in the morning before the girls and getting stuff done!! It’s wonderful that you have friends who are ahead of you on the homeschool path and friends who can pray for you! I always feel a little stress release when I read your Thankful Thursday posts…it’s a great reminder!
I enjoy reading others’ thankful lists as well! They are always encouraging for me.
Remembering God’s provision gets me through, too.
Our morning twitter chats are wonderful π How amazing that we cover each other in prayer and yet we have never met??! that boggles my mind some days π
It seems crazy, doesn’t it?! It is truly an amazing blessing though.
Robins! We’ve seen lots of birds here, but no Robins yet. Can’t wait for the Robins to arrive. What a blessing!
We’ve had unusually warm weather for Indiana, so they’re out early this year. They are fun to watch (and photograph!)
Beautiful photos for a wonderful list, Lisa! (and I was hit with a two-by-four while reading Ecc. this week, too!)
I’ve heard people say they don’t like the book because it’s so depressing. I just think it’s real life and true perspective!
My oldest took the bird pics and my youngest took the ones of the sky.
Love the photos!! Happy Spring.
visiting from Red Oak
Thank you! I’m glad you stopped by!
I always look forward to reading your Twitter posts and blog. You bless my heart and I pray for you daily. I love you my first born!
Thank you Dad–I love you too!
what fun pictures of the season. happy spring!
What a beautiful way to ‘tweeted’ awake!
It really is a nice way to start the day!
What an encouraging and inspiring Thankful Thursday post! We so often focus our minds on the negatives, and it is so refreshing to hear praises instead! Loved it. π
That’s one reason I really enjoy writing these posts. No matter how bad the week may have been, when I put my mind to it, I can always think of things to be thankful for!
I may just have to look into Twitter, if I would get to share that time with all of you, my dear bloggy friends! π
Your photos are beautiful. Your children definitely have a photographic eye! Stunning!
I love reading everyone’s thankful lists every week. They not only warm my heart, but truly make me realize how much there is to be grateful for.
I hope you have a good weekend.
Many blessings,
Lisa
I hope your weekend is a good one as well!
It would be great to have you on Twitter for those morning times! ; )
God’s continuing provision for our family – yes yes – He is taking care of us daily and working miracles in our self employed family π walking on faith these days each and every day. I haven’t been able to make the early morning twitter times but have to check in with you girls later – I’m not doing well in the am because of my RA – which I KNOW God wants to heal me from π I’m looking forward to getting to know you better as we run in the same circles & I just know your heart is similar to my sweet friends. Wish you’d been with us at ApologiaLive and TTD – LOVE LOVE your robin pictures – we got to do a robin study with Rebecca – wonderful!
I’m looking forward to getting to know you better as well! I wish I could have been at ApologiaLive. The tweets I saw from there were so good!
