Today I am most grateful for the person who gave his first-class airline seat to my travel-weary, Army husband and took my husband’s coach seat.
When my husband called from St. Louis and told me what that man had done for him, I was in awe. And now as I type this I’m getting all misty-eyed over it. Thank you, sir, wherever you may be.
And now, on to the rest of this week’s thankful list!
- Motivated kids
- The Content Brew class I was able to be involved in
- Morning study time
- Pandora’s “Film Score” station (it’s what’s been playing during school these days)
- God’s timing–perfect once again
- A fun weekend ahead for my girls
- That I can look forward to this, even if I have to wait 6 more months for it:
- My husband does not have to go overseas! He will be on a special orders assignment for at least 4 months, but only to–Wisconsin! This means we might even be able to see him every few weeks. It’s not the ideal family situation, but we can work with it.
- We got the rest of the garden planted yesterday. Alas, I have no pictures–I was too busy and dirty to mess with the camera. Soon we will be eating spinach, peas, cucumbers, tomatoes, green and yellow peppers, watermelon, green beans, and corn! Oh, and I picked the first of the lettuce yesterday too!
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today.
How wonderful that your man got to travel in style 🙂 woot!!
Yeah for special assignments state side!!!! Â Can’t wait to hear about your garden!
I’ll go over and take pictures sometime this weekend–our garden is at a friend’s house because of the space they have!
Brilliant news regarding your husband! Â I’m thrilled for your family. Â Can’t wait to see pictures of the garden. Â
Have a great weekend!  – Becky.  🙂
Thanks Becky!
We’re excited too (except about the separation part!) Enjoy your weekend as well!
What a double blessing for your husband: 1st class and the news of staying state-side. The Lord indeed gives good gifts to his children.
Thanks for sharing,

Thanks for stopping by today and commenting. Have a good weekend!
I find myself in awe at God’s timing myself. Always amazing isn’t it?
Oh my God is good. and yay for Wisconsin! What a blessing!!!
your thankful list made my day, friend. (and I’m looking forward to snow, too)
Yes, it is a big blessing! You live up that direction, don’t you? Or is it Minnesota?
My ladies have been praying for weeks for that job. Praise God that it worked out for you guys. Proud of your gardening attempts; you’re more like mom than you know.
That is so sweet and wonderful that man let your husband have his seat. Makes my heart smile. I’m thankful your hubby doesn’t have to go overseas too!
I thought it was pretty amazing that he was willing to do that!
Oh, Lisa, the kindness of the stranger gave me tears and goosebumps! How wonderful. I am so happy for you that he will have duty stateside!! Praise the Lord!Â
It was a very kind gesture!
We are quite happy about his stateside duty. The separation still won’t be lots of fun, but it will be nice to know he’s not too far!
Yay for gardens and husbands who don’t have to go overseas, motivated kids and fun weekends!!! Â Thank you for linking up! Â I hope you are having a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!
So many blessings! Happy to know that your husband doesn’t have to go overseas!
