There will be no pictures in this post. Sorry. That’s just the way it goes some weeks. And, we haven’t done much of anything except hang around the house, so there’s not been much to take pictures of!
So at the risk of putting a boring post out here, I’ll still proceed! This week I am grateful for:
- The fact that these lazy summer days are almost at an end–may sound weird, but I’m very ready for routine, balance, and focus in my days.
- Getting to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics with my girls
- The opportunity to bless another family with used curriculum I’ve been holding onto for years and haven’t used
- Really good customer service (unfortunately, it seems to be rare these days)
- Encouragement from the Psalms
- New curriculum! (post coming next week about it)
- Those online friends who use said curriculum and can offer support and encouragement
- A husband who truly wants God’s best for our family
- The gift of time–even if I haven’t been using it as I should (working on this one)
- One child who is bored enough that she wants to start working on school stuff NOW
- These two ladies and their technical and design skills: Ashley Pichea and Sydney Martin
- Laughter
Thank you Theresa, for hosting this link-up each week. I am so inspired and encouraged by reading what others are grateful for!
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today.
I can’t wait to read all about your new curriculum! I am really praying over some decisions with that myself. We are enjoying the Olympics here, as well. It was a quiet, non-eventful week here, too. Sometimes we need them amongst the noise and chaos. 🙂
Yes, you’re right–those quieter weeks are sometimes very nice! I’ll be praying with you for wisdom as you make curriculum decisions.
Lots of great things Lisa! Time…ah that’s a tough one. It’s so hard to be good stewards of time. I need to work on that one. By the time I am moved and set up the house, I think I too will desire that routine, we all truly are creatures of habit. And my post today is about generosity. We always get so much back when we give. It makes us feel good. I too love to bless others with things I can pass on. I look forward to seeing your new curriculum. We are using Sonlight this year. God Bess you today.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Sonlight. I hope it works well for you!
Yes–giving is so much fun! It really was a thrill to bless someone with what I had! Enjoy your day!
I love Psalms and all the emotion poured out to God; makes it so much easier for me to pour out all my emotions to God. Good list.
It is very encouraging to read how the psalmists poured their hearts out–positive and negative thoughts and emotions! Being honest and real is hard sometimes, but so important.
Fantastic non boring list!!
Thank you! I just don’t like doing posts without pictures. They’re so much more interesting with pictures! 🙂
Wonderful list Lisa. It’s not boring at all! I hear you on the lazy days of summer and longing for routine and schedules once again. And yes…new curriculum can be exciting. 🙂 What a blessing your shared your *old* and unused stuff with another homeschool family….they will enjoy it I am sure! I have curriculum like that…boy…do I! 🙂
Have a fabulous remainder of the Summer!
Blessings,Camille
