How can it be Thursday again?!
The past week has flown by in somewhat of a blur. We’ve been adjusting to life with Ron home, and it’s also show week for the Peter Pan production with our local theater company. For those who might not know what that means, it involves extra long rehearsals, late nights, one very wound-up teenager, and black mousse hair dye on the cream carpet. Yes, my blond daughter-turned-Neverland-Indian has to dye her hair black for the show.
Yikes!
(Notice any difference?)
I am grateful for the opportunities that our community theater group offers people of all different ages. (My husband is even involved in this show–helping with the “flying” ropes!)
And here are a few other things I am thankful for this week:
- A very wise and gracious husband
- My morning prayer warriors
- Our #KeptStudy in 1 Peter 3–convicting, but so very good
- A great discussion/conversation with the older two during our Joseph study
- Time with my youngest–just the 2 of us–watching a favorite show on Netflix
- Excitement over a friend’s news
- My sister’s willingness to write for me (if you missed it, her inspiring post was up yesterday)
- Getting the garden all cleaned out, and actually finding a bunch of cherry tomatoes that were still perfect for eating
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today.
If you’ve written a thankful post, I would love it if you would link up today and tell others about it!
What a wonderful thankful list! I can’t wait to see pics from the show and hear all about it. How awesome that your hubby is involved, too. Sorry about the carpet, though. I do think she makes a very good Indian. π
How exciting to read about Ashley’s news and yes, your sister’s post was wonderful. I didn’t know what the word meant, either, btw. π We still have some things growing in our garden. I am going to miss our homegrown treats.
Thanks so much for hosting. I hope you have a great weekend. Many blessings, friend! Lisa http://our4kiddos.blogspot.com
It was kind of a surprise to get out there to pull dead stuff out and find those bright red tomatoes. I thought everything was done! Thanks for linking up today. I hope your weekend is a good one as well!

Wow – she looks so different! Does she like it? I used to dye my hair for shows and it was kind of fun to have all the different colors – although I could never pull off black.
Lovely list of blessings π
She thinks it’s kind of fun! We were laughing because it makes her hair almost a purplish gray color. Going from blond to black is really hard! It’s the first time she’s had to do something this drastic.
Peter Pan sounds so fun!
She’s having a great time! It’s a different version than the Disney one, and is interesting, but she loves the dancing and singing.
Her hair looks great! I love it. I keep trying to go darker but it doesn’t work. Oh well. Anyway lovely list, know what that readjustment period is like when they get home but still so worth it, I am usually glad to have him home just the same. Nice list today!
She does such a great job with braiding and such!
You’re right–readjustment may be difficult at times, but so very worth it!

on the cream carpet- oh no! great list of gratitude π enjoy your week
Yeah, I wasn’t very happy. Fortunately, most of the color came out!
Have a great weekend!
aww… thanks for including my “news” in your thankfulness list. I’m thankful for YOU!
I am really happy and excited for you.

I meant seeing your blonde daughter in dark locks is very strange! I like her extra braid, that’s pretty cool.
Who are you doing that Peter Bible study with?
It is part of the HelloMornings Challenge. So, I’m a part of a twitter group who check in with one another each morning and “talk” about things we’re learning. Have you heard of HelloMornings?
My daughter dances so I totally can relate to different hair. We often were a hair piece or a wig to change up her hair. I am also in love with the Kept Study. It is changing my life. π
We talked about a wig, but for some reason she didn’t want to go that direction. Tonight was their first show, and after a couple of dress rehearsals, she’s gotten better at keeping the dye on her hair and off the floor! π
I’m so glad the study has been good for you as well!

What a wonderful opportunity for her!
I pray for a calm in the midst of your busy!
Thank you Lori! I hope you’re having a good weekend.
yay! So glad your hubby is home and it’s just a few weeks until I get to meet you!!!
