Today, I am very thankful for YOU!
Ron and I were talking and I was explaining to him again (my non-blogging, non-tweeting husband) the nature of this online community. I was describing how I met some of you, how the relationships developed and deepened, and how grateful I am for you.
I gave him the example of how on Tuesday, the day our oldest got her braces, I put out a call on twitter for prayer for her. I was able to tell her later that morning that she had 5 or more people praying for her that day!
That’s powerful stuff.
So thank you–for being you! 🙂
Other things I’m grateful for this week:
- Ibuprofen
- The chance to sit up with a hurting child in the middle of the night–sounds strange to be thankful for this, but I am
- Interesting conversations during school
- Time to talk with my husband yesterday during the quiet early morning hours
- Homemade soup in the crock pot because I thought ahead and planned for it–this is a big deal!
- My youngest’s tender heart
- The truths I’ve been able to get out of 1 Peter 5 during this week’s study
- Time to write
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today. And if you’ve written a thankful post, please link it up below!
Such a lovely list!! Continually praying for Hannah. I actually miss those night when the girls were up. There was something about rocking them in the dark of night.
Thank you for your prayers, they really have made a difference! She’s already feeling so much better!
I’m thankful for the blogging community too. And I know what you mean about the opportunity to be up with sick kids–time flies fast!
It does fly! Those hours in the middle of the night, even with teenagers, are precious moments together.
I am thankful for all of my blogging friends, too. Wish we lived closer! 🙂 I don’t do Twitter (can’t keep up with what I do already, lol!), but I will still pray for your daughter and hope that the weeks and months ahead will be quick and painless. Please never hesitate to email if you have a prayer request. (I know it’s not as easy as Twitter, though) Much love to you! Lisa http://our4kiddos.blogspot.com
I will definitely send out an email if there’s something you can pray for! Hannah’s already feeling the pain lessen quite a bit, which makes me very thankful. I’m grateful for your consistent encouragement and your kind words. I appreciate you so much!
A great list this week! So much depth, thanks for sharing it. I also enjoy the blog community.
I appreciate your kind words. I’m very grateful to have met you through this online community! 🙂
I am thankful for you too. And for the reminder to be thankful. I know it is November, and for Americans the Thanksgiving holiday is a reminder, but I know we should work on being thankful all the time, and not just around Thanksgiving.
So funny! We must have commented simultaneously! Yeah for easy meatloaf dinners! We’re celebrating with friends who have American connections and other displaced American friends.
So glad the link is still up! I might actually get something posted!
It has been wonderful getting to know you too! Late night with kids and friends can be wonderful experiences 🙂
It’ll be up until Monday. I hope you can get a chance to link up!
How are you feeling?
Lovely list Lisa. Yes, online community is wonderful, isn’t it? And yippee for a meal plan and planning ahead…soooo much less stressful, don’t you think? Happy weekend to you!
Many Blessings,
Camille
Thank you. It really is so much easier when I have a meal plan, I don’t know why I don’t do it more often!
Happy weekend to you too!
