We celebrated a birthday in our family this week–mine!
I am so thankful for the delightful time we had together.
My oldest and I went to get manicures–and had fun laughing at the terrible (we’re talking seriously bad) one that I ended up with. It was quite the experience, to say the least. So, after we got home I got the polish remover out and had Hannah do another one for me–which turned out so much better. I should have just paid her in the first place!
Anyway, at least we had an interesting story to tell. 🙂
While we were away, my husband and youngest were out picking up goodies.
These beauties came with Barnes and Noble and Biggby Coffee cards sitting next to them. Books and coffee. What more could a girl ask for? Well, how about…chocolates!
And, my daughter made dark chocolate brownies for me. I didn’t get a picture of them, but they were absolute perfection. We ate them while watching a favorite TV show. It was a just-what-I-asked-for relaxing evening. I am grateful for their efforts to make me feel loved!
I am also thankful for phone calls and texts from my far-away family, Facebook happy birthday wishes, and Twitter notes from friends.
Lovely, encouraging day.
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today. And, if you’ve written a thankful post of some kind, please link it up below!
