Happy Thursday!
We’ve been staying home more often this week because the temperatures have been so very cold. I don’t mind winter at all, and excuses to drink more coffee, wear super-long flannel nightgowns, and turn on the electric fireplace are perfectly fine with me! I try more crock-pot recipes in the winter, and I actually make bread in the colder months. I tried a new honey oat bread recipe yesterday, and it received rave reviews. There’s just something about the smell of baking bread…mmm!
So here’s what else I’m thankful for this week:
- office equipment that can be pretty-fied

- a husband who is willing to go to the store on slick roads because we ran out of toilet paper
- girls who now know how to do their own laundry
- this goofy cat

- a somewhat laid-back school week
- writing opportunities that stretch me
- all the excitement being generated about the start of the HelloMornings Winter Challenge
- being able to capture this moment in time

- a renewed dream with a redesigned website to go with it (would you like to see?!)
I hope you can find things, large and small to be thankful for today. And, if you’ve written a gratitude post, please link it up and spend some time visiting others!
I love everything about this post! I have tea cups that look just like that. It really made me smile to see it on your printer like that! Love it. π We are owned by cats, too, lol, and your husband is a gem! The pic of your daughter is priceless– so glad you were able to capture it. I will check out your links. You have me curious. π Hope you have a great weekend, friend. Much love and prayers, Lisa

She was so funny when I was taking her picture–she was trying to act natural, but she was having a hard time not laughing! And I agree, my husband is a true gem! π
I love excuses to drink more coffee, especially in a pretty cup and saucer:)
Exactly! Although, if it’s after noon, I have to switch to decaf or I’m awake all night.

While I’m not exactly thankful for the cold weather, I am thankful for our warm house π I’ve been drinking more hot chocolate {with peppermint}. YUM!
Ooh…hot chocolate with peppermint sounds really good. The peppermint mocha at Starbucks is always one of my favorites.

Coffee always a must! Love your For the Love of Words and am very interested. I am working on a small e-booklet study guide for Catholics called School of Mary. I do need someone who can take a look see when it’s finished. It’s my 3 in 30 goal and I am 3/5 done but still have a bit to go. I hope to have it done by Feb 1st and will contact you for proofreading on the sight when ready. Are you comfortable with editing Catholic Catechist type content?
Oh and your list is really good this week!
Thank you!
And I would love to help you out. Good idea to contact me through the editing site whenever you’re ready!
Oh love those chilly days!! Fire, coffee, and baking bread… oh yea baby!!
Great list Lisa, great photos, and thanks again for hosting π
Thank YOU for linking up! π It’s probably a good thing that you like chilly days. I imagine that you have plenty of those where you’re at!
I love capturing those little moments. Taking the time to notice them is so important. Love your kitty!! Thank you for your Thankful Thursday today! Simply God’s Girl &
