Ever had them? Those God-moments, when you know he has orchestrated what is happening at the moment, for a specific purpose?
I had a couple of them this week, those “divine appointments.” And I’m grateful for them, because they totally brightened my week as I was encouraged and was able to do the same for someone else. Yay God!
The first was at a PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) meeting on Tuesday. Never been to one of those before. I had heard of the groups from other military wives and was excited to finally get a chance to attend when we moved here. It was a great morning of fellowship and discussion, scripture, and prayer.
While I was there, I met another PWOC newbie who is also a homeschooling mom of teen girls. She blessed me in ways she will probably never even know, unless I specifically tell her, which I should! Anyway, I was so grateful for my morning there and the women I met.
Divine appointment number two was Wednesday night. Driving home from a parent meeting, I spotted a really nice-looking deli/restaurant I had never seen before. So before I could talk myself out of it, I pulled in the parking lot. (Actually, I had already passed it and had to go around the block to get back to it!)
When I walked in, there was a homeschool mom who I had met at a previous event and to whom I had given some curriculum we were not using anymore. She was so glad to see me (and I, her!) and we stood and talked for a few minutes. Just a fun reconnection. Then, as I was waiting for my to-go order, a woman came over to where I was sitting and asked me a simple question which began a 10-minute conversation that continued even after we both got our orders and walked back out to the parking lot!
It was amazing! She is from Chicago (one of my favorite places), moved here not too long ago, and her husband just deployed. We had a fun conversation that had me smiling the whole way home.
So more than anything, I am thankful for these delightful God-moments this week. He so knew I needed them.
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today. And if you’ve written a gratitude post, please feel free to link it up below!
I love those moments when you realize God is at work. It makes you realize how special the gift of life truly is!
Very true! They also encourage me by reminding me that he is involved in all aspects of my life and loves me enough to take care of those details.
