So I wrote about how much fun we had camping in the mountains. The group that went included my kids and I, my mom and dad, my sister, and her two. We were missing a few from our family–including my husband.
I called him when we got back to civilization (and cell service) and heard quite the story from him. While we were hiking, eating s’mores, and enjoying the outdoors, he got to take a trip in an ambulance. Apparently, playing racquetball is a threat to one’s Achille’s tendon.
To make a long story short, he is now in a cast for at least a month. BUT, I am thankful he doesn’t have to have surgery.
I want to enjoy my time here with my family; I also want to be in Texas helping my hobbling husband. BUT, I’m grateful he has people around him who are willing to help however they can.
Today I am also thankful for :
- these highly entertaining creatures
- the sights and sounds of cousins enjoying one another’s company
- chances to sit and read–you should see my mom’s library!
- fresh garden veggies
I hope you can find things, large and small, to be thankful for today. And if you’ve written a gratitude post, please link it up below! If you don’t have a post, share with us in the comments what you are thankful for.
