This past school year, I quite contentedly used my Well-Planned Day homeschool planner. It’s the 3rd year I’ve used one, and I can’t say enough good things about it!

So, when I was asked if I wanted to review Home Educating Family’s High School 4-Year Planner, I was excited! And when I told my soon-to-be high school daughter, she was pretty pumped about it too.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but let me tell you–this thing delivers! It is jam-packed with planning pages, notes, tips, resources, and encouragement for all four years of high school. Keeping track of classes, grades, and extra-curricular activities will be easy, using the pages they’ve included. This means that creating a transcipt using this planner will be very do-able. The college-prep information and timelines will be, I believe, invaluable to keeping us on track.

Here are some of the details of what’s in this planner (which is written directly TO the high school student):

  • Over 330 Full Color Pages
  • Spiral Bound
  • Full Year Planner: July 2012 – June 2016
  • Record a Four Year Goal
  • Organize Records, Grades & GPA with Sample Transcripts
  • Plan Each High School Year with Class Plan and Checklists
  • View Semester Calendars with Holidays
  • Read Informative Articles for Each Semester
  • Schedule Each Month: Track Class Assignments, Attendance, Community Involvment, and Grades
  • Record Semester Progress: Grades, Attendance, Portfolio Information, and Journaling the High School Experience
  • Plan a College Portfolio
  • Review College Considerations and Visits.
  • Maintain College Grants and Scholarship Information.
  • and much more….

My daughter has already been reading some of the articles and tips/hints pages. Her only problem with this planner is that the month-at-a-glance calendars don’t have much room in the boxes to write things in.

We are both glad to be able to have this resource available to us for these last 4 years of her education! I would encourage you to take a look at all the homeschool planning resources that are available at Home Educating Famiy.

Good Words

Lisa is a great editor. She is thorough, and offers suggestions to help ensure my articles and ebooks are clear and concise. She’s a great communicator and has a way of offering suggestions and feedback in a positive manner. Having an editor you feel is as invested in your work as you are is priceless. That’s what you get with Lisa.
